Nature Tech Demo Days: Connecting Innovators with Solution-seekers

Navigating the path to nature-positive with nature tech

For many organizations, the journey to becoming nature-positive is rarely straightforward. As businesses seek to better manage their dependence on and impact on nature, many are turning to nature tech, innovative technologies that enable them to scale their efforts and uncover new opportunities in the space.

However, nature tech is a rapidly evolving field with shifting regulations, emerging frameworks, and a growing range of solutions, making it challenging for stakeholders to identify the right technologies for their nature-positive goals and project needs.

Our Nature Tech Collective Demo Days aim to bridge this gap. We work closely with diverse groups of stakeholders to understand their nature challenges and priorities.

Based on these insights, we curate and organize needs-focused demo days, bringing together two key groups:

  1. Solution-providers (nature tech innovators/startups/companies) who provide technological solutions to nature-related challenges

  2. Solution-seekers (potential buyers and users of nature tech e.g. project developers/corporates) who have specific nature-related challenges to solve

NTC’s  demo day program in 2025

The core purpose of our nature tech demo days is to facilitate direct connections between providers and users of nature tech. We do this by organizing and facilitating:

  • Live demonstrations of nature tech solutions

  • Interactive Q&A sessions

  • Creating opportunities for direct discussion between buyers and providers

Demo day themes

This year our demo day program will focus thematically on 4 areas and occur once a quarter:

Q1: Comprehensive Ecosystem Monitoring and Analysis.

  • Project developers are invited to see demonstrations of a comprehensive ecosystem monitoring and analysis suite: Demos will illustrate how integrated tools change ecosystem assessments, and provide a holistic view of project impacts to enable more informed decision-making and robust stakeholder reporting. (Sign up here)

Q2: Data Management, Visualization, and AI Applications.

  • This demo day will showcase data management platforms that transform complex datasets into compelling visualizations. We’ll demonstrate how predictive models and automated analysis can enhance project planning, impact assessment, decision-making and stakeholder communication.

Q3: Field Data Collection and Precision Land Management

  • This demo day will focus on the use of mobile apps and offline-capable systems for field data collection. We’ll showcase GPS-enabled tools and soil health monitoring systems for precision land management and explore technologies that optimize on-ground operations and improve data quality.

Q4: Blockchain and Community Engagement Platforms.

  • This demo day will focus on demonstrations of blockchain solutions that ensure transparency in carbon or biodiversity credit transactions and benefit-sharing. The session will also showcase platforms designed for community participation and transparent benefit distribution.

Going further: A more tailored experience

Our team at the Nature Tech Collective also provides the option for a more tailored demo day experience.

In this scenario, we work directly with a particular company to understand specific needs and requirements and organize a customized demo day program lasting 5-6 weeks in total

Case study: Helping SoulForest identify the right tech solutions

The Challenge

Soulforest is on an ambitious mission to transform 200 acres of degraded land near Hyderabad, India, into a thriving, biodiverse native forest. Their innovative model - dedicating 80% to ecological restoration and 20% to aligned economic activities - requires sophisticated technology solutions for monitoring, financing, and community engagement. However, like many restoration projects, they faced the challenge of navigating the complex landscape of nature tech solutions. They were the perfect candidates for our Demo Day.

The demo day was excellent. We got to understand so many other organizations who share complementary elements with our work, leading to massively sensible collaborations. We had second-round conversations with all of them.
— Sathya Mokkapti, CEO, SoulForest

Through a carefully structured 6-week demo day program, NTC helped Soulforest define their specific needs and connected them with relevant solution providers. The process culminated in a focused demo day featuring four carefully selected companies offering complementary solutions - from biodiversity credit platforms to advanced monitoring systems.
