In 2024, our members collectively secured approximately $95 million to advance the development and implementation of nature tech solutions, monitoring more than 43 million hectares—an area equivalent to the size of California.

Frequently asked questions
-
The Nature Tech Collective originally started as the MRV Collective (you can learn more about this here). Subsequently, the majority of our members today are MRV providers—companies offering measurement, reporting, and verification solutions.
In addition, we have a diverse range of corporates, investors, and project developers. Our community also includes nature tech researchers, consultancies, standard-setting organizations, and rating agencies.
For a deeper look, we recommend exploring our up-to-date member list.

There are several ways you can collaborate with the Nature Tech Collective and actively engage with the nature tech ecosystem. Here are some examples:
Network with the nature tech ecosystem
You can connect with other members through our Slack community and in-person events. These platforms are a great way to meet new partners and stakeholders, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations.
Help disseminate information
As a member, you can help spread important information across the industry. You can do this by participating in our NTC Now sessions, contributing to co-marketing initiatives, or writing blog posts. We’ll work with you to create content, such as blog posts or event recordings, and share it across our channels to increase its reach.
Lead a subcommunity
You have the opportunity to lead a sub-community within the Nature Tech Collective. This involves gathering like-minded individuals around a specific thematic, organizing discussions, and driving collaboration. We provide all the necessary tools and frameworks to support you in this role.
Lead in-person chapters
We are expanding our in-person chapters, and if you're passionate about fostering local connections, you can take the lead in your area. This could involve organizing events, connecting with members, or creating a space for local discussions. You might even have the chance to co-organize events at major conferences like New York Climate Week or London Climate Week. If you have an idea for an event, reach out to us, and we can help you connect with other members or provide support.
-
The value of your membership in the Nature Tech Collective is directly tied to your level of participation. The more you engage—whether by attending events, connecting with fellow members, or contributing to discussions—the more you’ll probably get out of it. (Make sure to introduce yourself and reach out to our community lead to get the most from your membership!)
For a deeper understanding, we recommend checking out our 2024 community impact report. The report highlights feedback from other members and showcases the collaborations we've had over the past year, giving you a clear picture of how the collective can benefit you.
-
When you join the Nature Tech Collective, we ask that you assign a point of contact from your organization so we know who to reach out to. For example, we may reach out to seek your approval for a feature in a publication, to complete a survey, or to request your expertise on a particular matter. Responsiveness is always appreciated - and these initiatives will always be designed to help platform and support the work you do.
We also encourage you to stay active on Slack, engage with the community, and share your knowledge with others. This is a collaborative, pre-competitive space where everyone is working together to advance the industry. It's important to not only benefit from the collective but also contribute to it. By being participatory and giving back, you’ll help foster a stronger, more impactful community.
If you have further questions about this, feel free to reach out.
-
There’s no strict limit on the number of employees who can join or participate. Memberships are granted to the company, not to individuals, so you’re welcome to have as many people from your organization join the Slack community and engage with the collective. We don’t impose a limit on participation, so feel free to get your team involved!
-
No, you don’t have to be a nature tech provider or project developer to join the Nature Tech Collective. Our goal is to connect buyers and sellers while bridging the education gap in the industry. Whether you're supporting nature tech or nature-based solutions in other ways, or working to achieve nature-positive goals for your company, we welcome you to join the collective and contribute to the conversation.
